HIS FIRST NOVELLA, "The Watchful Tree", PUBLISHED IN NOVEMBER OF 2011, WAS SET IN A FANTASY WORLD. THROUGHOUT THE NOVELLA, A STORY IS TOLD THROUGH THE EYES OF GAIA, THE GREAT AND WISE TREE OF LIFE. THE SUMMARY IS AS FOLLOWS:
A Story of a Lonesome tree who is guided through life in accordance with the wisdom of Gaia. Through the thousands of endless years, the lonely tree watches the construction of the planet and the beginnings of life, human creation and the eventual domination of all life. The threat of Destruction is very real, and can this lonesome tree really stop what has already been decided ages ago?

AFTER WRITING HIS FIRST NOVELLA, MR. BAKER DECIDED TO BECOME MORE ACQUAINTED IN SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION AND CONTENT MANAGEMENT, WRITING FOR SUCH COMPANIES AS TEXT BROKER AND EHOW. THROUGH WHAT WAS ONCE ELANCE, NOW CALLED UPWORK, MR. BAKER ACQUIRED QUITE A FEW CLIENTS IN WHICH HE STILL FOLLOWS THROUGH WITH TODAY FOR GHOSTWRITTEN MATERIALS.
IN OCTOBER OF 2013, THE NOVELLA, "Tolgarda" WAS PUBLISHED VIA AMAZON. IT IS MORE SCIENCE-FICTION BASED ALTHOUGH IT HAS A HORROR SUB-GENRE TO THE STORY AS WELL. A SUMMARY OF THE NOVELLA CAN BE FOUND BELOW:
OUR PLANET HAS FALLEN FROM GRACE, THE EVIL PASSION FOR DESTRUCTION AND DESPAIR SWEPT ACROSS THE WORLD LIKE A WHIRLWIND. THE YEAR IS 2123. ONE HUNDRED YEARS EARLIER THE FALLOUT OCCURRED, THE DAY ONE COUNTRY SUDDENLY LAUNCHED A LARGE SIZED NUCLEAR MISSILE THE ENTIRE PLANET WOULD REMEMBER, OTHER COUNTRIES QUICKLY FOLLOWING SUIT, ENGULFING OUR CIVILIZATIONS IN FEAR AND HATRED, PERHAPS NOT REALIZING THE DEVASTATING CONSEQUENCES THAT FOLLOWED SOON THEREAFTER.
SINCE THAT BLOOD-FILLED DAY, THE HUMAN RACE AS WE KNEW IT WAS TAKEN TO THE BRINK OF EXTINCTION. THE POPULATION OF NORTH AMERICA WAS A MERE FIVE THOUSAND, FAR FROM THE BILLIONS THAT ONCE LIVED. THE REMAINING FEW, BUILT A CITY WITHIN THE EASTERN CANADIAN MOUNTAINS IN A LARGE CAVERN. THE INHABITANTS OF THIS GREAT CAVERN HAVE NAMED THEIR DARK BUT SAFE PLACE OF DWELLING, “TOLGARDA”.
